中文摘要
This case study evaluates the design considerations of an online self-paced professional development portal, which uses competency-based instruction (CBI), advance organizers, and digital badges. The portal was aimed at supporting educators in Transitional Math (T-Math). Nine participants evaluated the portal, and data was collected through observation, interviews, and eye-tracking technology. The initial findings showed that participants had a positive experience with the T-Math. However, they also identified certain limitations in the portal, which will be addressed in subsequent releases. Overall, the T-Math portal demonstrated the positive potential of CBI, advance organizers, and digital badges to aid in professional development and STEM education. Such user interface design considerations may be beneficial in developing self-paced learning content to support professional development.
